The Seattle Ferry

What can I say about the Seattle Ferry?  Well, it was fun, but a long ride at 45 minutes from the west side of the pond in Bremerton, WA.  It is free to ride from the west to the east side, but costs around $7.50 per passenger to come back.  Unlike the Staten Island Ferry in New York, the Seattle Ferry allows vehicles to board.  Plus, with a Wave2Go pass, the ferry is the cheapest transportation when traveling to Seattle on a daily basis because parking fees near the ferry are expensive.  The ferry comes complete with large comfortable seating and tables with cup holders.  The best part was watching the upper deck passengers feeding the birds as they followed us out into Puget Sound.  However, I am not sure whether or not Washington state frowns upon this behavior.

Critic’s Note:  On a clear day, the Seattle Ferry from Bremerton provides a terrific view of Mount Rainier.  Keep a close watch because you could miss it amongst the clouds.
